La ricercatrice TRELab Ila Maltese, insieme con il Professor Luca Zamparini dell’Università del Salento sono gli autori di “Sustainable mobility choices at home and within destinations: A survey of young Italian tourists”, pubblicato sul giornale “Research in Transportation Business & Management“, per lo Special Issue “Multimodal mobility: choices, business strategies and policies for sustainable tourism” il 3 Novembre, 2022.

L’articolo esamina le scelte dei giovani turisti riguardo alla mobilità nei luoghi di vacanza, attraverso interviste somministrate ad un campione di residenti nella stessa città.

Il paper fornisce informazioni utili per dirigenti ed amministratori riguardo i metodi per incrementare l’utilizzo di diverse modalità di spostamento nelle località di villeggiatura.

TRElab member Ila Maltese with Professor Luca Zamparini of University of Salento wrote “Sustainable mobility choices at home and within destinations: A survey of young Italian tourists”, published in the journal “Research in Transportation Business & Management”, for the Special Issue “Multimodal mobility: choices, business strategies and policies for sustainable tourism” of November 3 th, 2022.

The paper investigates tourists’ mobility behaviour within destinations by interviewing a sample of young people.

It provides useful information for managers and administrators on how to increase tourists’ multimodality and modal shift within their holiday destinations
