Tourism and heterogeneous preferences: the roman case study

In July 2021, TRElab paper titled “Roman holiday: Tourist heterogeneous preferences for walking path elements”  have been published on RETREC.

The paper investigates tourists’ preferences in Rome (Italy) with respect to their “last mile” transport walking experience, proposing, on the base of the last walking path followed, a “tourist walking satisfaction index”.

It provides useful information for policymakers on how to plan, design and manage walking networks.
